The maths does not care how you feel about it
Every casino game carries a house edge. Over enough play that edge wins, and no strategy, system or bonus changes it. A good session and a good strategy are not the same thing, and the difference between them is the single most expensive misunderstanding in gambling.
Practical limits that work
- Decide the amount before you start and treat it as spent the moment you deposit.
- Set a deposit limit at the cashier rather than relying on willpower later.
- Never chase a loss. Chasing is the behaviour that turns a bad hour into a bad month, and it feels reasonable while you are doing it.
- Keep gambling money separate from money with a job to do.
- If you find yourself hiding it, that is the signal, not the amount.
Where to get help in Canada
Support is provincial. ConnexOntario covers Ontario, and every other province runs a problem gambling helpline of its own. Both offer free, confidential help, and you do not need to have reached a crisis to call one. If you are unsure where to start, your provincial health service will route you.
Self-exclusion is available at every casino we cover. It is not a failure. It is a tool, and it works better used early than late.
