Card and crypto casino deposits from Canada

When the cashier has no Interac and the balance is in euros, the money takes a longer route. Here is every step of it.

Published October 17, 2026

Interac is the first payment most Canadians look for, and our Interac casino guide explains how it works where it is offered. But plenty of casinos open to Canadian players do not take Interac at all. The five we review are among them: their cashiers run on cards and cryptocurrency, and the account balance is held in euros. This page is about paying such a casino from a Canadian bank account, and about the small costs that hide in between.

The two currency steps nobody shows you

When your bank account is in Canadian dollars and the casino balance is in euros, your money is converted somewhere on the way in, and again on the way out. Neither conversion appears as a fee on the casino's side, which is why many players never notice it. It is still a cost, and it is paid twice: once on the deposit and once on the withdrawal. Over a single session it is small. Over a year of deposits and payouts it adds up to a real amount.

The practical answer is to treat the euro as the unit of your budget. Decide in dollars what you can afford, convert it once, and then think in euros at the table. Switching back and forth mid-session is where people lose track.

Paying by card

Visa and Mastercard are accepted at all five casinos. A few Canadian specifics are worth knowing before you try:

Paying with crypto

The five cashiers accept the common coins: Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, BNB, and the stablecoins USDT and USDC. For most Canadian players, the route is to buy the coin in Canadian dollars on an exchange, send it to the deposit address the casino shows, and wait for the network to confirm.

Three things go wrong more often than anything else. The first is the network: USDT, for example, exists on several blockchains, and sending it on a different network from the one the cashier shows can mean the deposit never arrives. Copy the network along with the address. The second is fees, both the exchange's withdrawal fee and the network fee, which are fixed amounts and weigh heavily on small deposits. The third is the price moving while the transfer is pending, which matters for Bitcoin and Ether and not for stablecoins.

Stablecoins add a currency step of their own. USDT and USDC track the US dollar, so a deposit goes from Canadian dollars to US dollars at the exchange, then to euros at the casino. Three currencies, two conversions, before you have played a hand.

Deposit and withdrawal are two different lists

The deposit menu and the withdrawal menu are not always the same. A card that takes a deposit is not automatically a card that can receive a payout, and a crypto withdrawal goes to the address you give, which is not necessarily where the deposit came from. Before the first deposit, open the cashier's withdrawal tab and look at what it offers. That two-minute check prevents the most frustrating surprise there is.

Verification before you need it

Whatever the method, the first withdrawal triggers an identity check: a photo ID, proof of address, and sometimes proof that the card or wallet is yours. Doing it right after sign-up, while nothing is waiting, turns a delay of days into one of minutes. Our payout speed guide goes through the other reasons a payout waits.

Frequently asked questions

Do the casinos you review accept Interac?

No. Their cashiers take Visa, Mastercard and cryptocurrency, and the balance is held in euros. Our Interac guide covers casinos that do offer it.

Why did my card deposit cost more than the amount I entered?

The deposit was in euros, so your card converted it and may have added a foreign transaction fee. Some issuers also treat gambling as a cash advance.

Which crypto is easiest for a first deposit?

A stablecoin such as USDC or USDT avoids price swings while the transfer is pending. Check that you send it on the network shown in the cashier.

Can I withdraw to the card I deposited with?

Not always. Open the withdrawal tab in the cashier before your first deposit to see which methods can receive a payout.
