In the base game, any orbs that land during a winning tumble sequence are added together and applied once the sequence ends. Land a 10x and a 5x on a sequence that paid $3, and you collect $45.

Free spins work differently, and that's the heart of the game. Four or more Zeus scatters give 15 free spins; three more during the round add 5. Each time an orb lands on a spin that wins, its value joins a total multiplier displayed at the side, and that total applies to the win. Here's how a round can build:

1. Spin 3: a 2x orb lands with a $1.20 win. Total becomes 2x, you get $2.40.
2. Spin 7: a 10x orb and a $2 win. Total is now 12x, you get $24.
3. Spin 11: an orb lands but the spin doesn't win. The total stays at 12x; that orb is lost.
4. Spin 14: a 25x orb with a $4 win. Total jumps to 37x, you get $148.

That's a nice round on a $1 stake. Now picture the same round where spins 7 and 14 land orbs on non-winning spins. You'd leave with about $15. Nothing about the display tells you which kind of round you're in until it's over.

What "very volatile" feels like on a Tuesday night

Pragmatic puts Gates of Olympus at the top of its volatility scale. In plain terms, expect these things:

• Long runs of 30, 50, even 100 spins where the balance just slides.
• Free spins rounds that pay under 20x the stake more often than not.

It's a second route to a big result that doesn't depend on orbs stacking on winning spins. We'd treat it as a separate game, not an upgrade: read its paytable before assuming anything carries over.
